Peanut Butter Cookies

These are nice, crisp peanut butter cookies. I usually like to use chunky peanut butter for some extra texture.

1 c shortening
1 t vanilla
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
4 T water
1 c peanut butter
3 c flour
1/8 t salt
2 t baking soda
3 t Egg Replacer (a powdered binding agent found at health food stores)

Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and Egg Replacer and set aside. Cream together the remaining ingredients. Add the dry to the wet ingredients and combine well. Roll into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press balls with a fork to create the traditional peanut butter cookie pattern. Bake for fifteen minutes at 350°.
